It is nasty out there
We went out just a few blocks away for a birthday dinner. We were in the restaurant a couple hours and sat by a window. It didn't look like any precipitation fell at all. But when we got back to the car, the windows were covered with ice.

It's like there is ice in the air. You can feel it on your face. But you can't see it.

Nasty. Who says ice storms are pretty? blah

3. Ice storms ARE pretty
and dangerous as all get out. I was raised in a real winter climate and no amount of snow or cold bothers me but I hate ice storms.

5. We got about 2 inches of sleet yesterday.
It turned into "concrete" this morning and you can't walk on it or shovel it!!! We had a little freezing rain tonight, but it seems to be going south. Course, round 3 is supposed to start Sun afternoon, yippee.... At least we are lucky so far. Thousands of people are still without power in Missouri. My son is in Rolla and still has power, but lots in town don't. He did have to go out and move a big limb from his front porch. They have a lot of ice there.
