1. My mom's eyes are hazel; my dad's were olive green.
I always loved the color of my dad's eyes. He died 30 years ago. About a year after he died, MY eyes changed from hazel like my mom's, to olive green like my dad's. Pretty weird, huh?

3. Hazel/bluish grey.
The offspring have blue (me), brown, green, blue. On the other hand, my STBE has one blue and one green eye. With my blue eyes we produced one pale blue-eyed boy, and a girl and a boy with hazel eyes.

Mine look either blue or green, depending on what color I'm wearing. My sister has blue eyes and my brother has gold eyes.

My brother's wife has brown eyes, but all of their children have blue eyes. Weird.

26. mom = brown, dad = dark hazel/brown
mine are light green with dark green rim

my mom must carry a recessive pale eye gene b/c one of my sisters (different dad) has clear, light blue eyes, and the other sister (different dad from mine, same dad as blue eyed sister) has brown.

30. Mom--pale green; dad--brown
I got a richer green. DH also green...and Jr. has blue eyes. With blonde hair. :wtf:

In fact, the last person in my family to be blonde/blue was my great-grandmother (so I'm told) even though every last drop of blood in all of us is allegedly Sicilian (rumors of an Irish sailor passing through--but I don't have details). After her, nothin' but brown/brown, brown/green...and then TWO blonde/blue in one generation--my son and his cousin, my niece (brother's daughter) (whose mom is a redhead).

Again, :wtf:

I'll never understand genetics!

32. Mom-green, Dad-blue...
My eyes are a light blue-green with golden-orange around my pupil. The Book of Kells, describes blue or green eyes with that weird orange as being typically Celtic.

My DH has brown eyes, as do two of our three children. The youngest has pale blue-grey eyes without that Celtic feature.

though I do have a cousin with a lighter brown goldish color eyes and that dark skin so dark it has a bluish tint in florescent lighting. He has what you'd call "piercing eyes".

Me - grey/darkgold with black rim. Sometimes they're slate grey, sometimes they're dark tan, sometimes they're almost black depending on mood and clothing. When I was younger, they could look honey-yellow.

My brother has brown eyes.

My mom's are very green hazel.

Mine are hazel too, but more of a gold color with brown rings around the iris. I get complimented on them a lot because they're sort of unusual.

My brother's are basic brown.
