Blankets

bottles, binkies, bears and bassinettes.

They admitted #1 son's SO last night for observation. Her due date isn't until February 4th so I doubt that they're going to hook her up with a pitocin cocktail, but...

I'm not ready.

Picked up bottles and binkies yesterday when they called the first time and found a couple of patterns for blankets for the baby. Started a crochet pattern and got nearly halfway through...hopefully I'll finish it today. Then to make the bear. And another blanket. And a sweater set.

2. Y'know...

I'm kinda excited. We'd planned on picking up a bassinette, a stroller and a crib mattress (already have the crib) in two weeks, but might go out this afternoon and pick up the bassinette a little early. Had a good time browsing through the baby section on Sunday, too. My youngest is ten, so it's been a while and I've gotta confess, it's more fun doing it for a grandbaby. I don't have to be quite as practical. I can play a little bit.

And I can't wait to smell that baby head and hold those tiny little feet.

3. GAH!!!

Just got off the phone with #1 son's SO and the doctor is saying she's probably going to deliver at some point tonight.

None of my kids have been born without a blanket waiting for them. I've got some crocheting to do!!!
