I am a brave and magnificent human being.
I just bathed the cat. Not only do I still have all of my limbs, I didn't get bit or scratched once. Religions get started over lesser miracles.

I do have to rinse the poor girl off in a few though, and the element of surprise is no longer on my side. If you don't hear from me, call the paramedics. :scared:

1. Why did you need to bathe her?

2. The poor girl had some fleas.
I combed her with the flea comb, but I wasn't sure I got them all in her private region, so I had to give her a bath to get any survivors.

I rinsed her and she did okay, then she let me dry her off a bit before she went into hiding.

15. Ok. You might consider "Advantage" if the fleas continue to be a problem.
Even though it is expensive ($50 for a 4-month supply) it works well. I use it on my cat in the summer months.

6. It was all right. I had to work a lot, got shorted on my check but that should be fixed.
I did have the strangest conversation today. flvegan had to make some eggs for his sick dog, on advice of the vet. I called while they were cooking, and we had a five minute conversation about how to make eggs. Do you poke a hole and let some of the goo out, or just put them in the water as is? Now, this went about as well as blind people discussing shades of yellow. :eyes:

Edited on Thu Jan-04-07 01:17 AM by MadAsHellNewYorker
that is one conversation I would love to hear replayed. And the cooking depends on how you are making the egg...As for poking a hole to let the "goo" out, thats usually never the case!

Im glad you're getting that pay check issue fixed :D

9. It was a riot.
I don't know how he managed to buy the things. I'd be tempted to drive to another town, for fear of somebody getting the wrong impression.

7. If you ever need to do it again, you might want to read this first:
"Cat Bathing as a Martial Art." http://www.xmission.com/~emailbox/bathing.htm

11. Advantage or Frontline work very well.
They could reduce your need for bathing. We sell it pretty cheap at the shelter.

I'd even send it to you myself without the shipping charge if you decide you would like some.

I never had much luck with flea shampoos or dips. Lots of trouble, and they seemed to wear off quickly.

13. One time I crouched, while bathing my beloved St. Bernard (sadly deceased).
He leaped & we went through the bathroom door together, despite the door being closed at the time.
