FINALLY!!!!!
Both the trombone and the bass have arrived, safe and sound if a bit late. The 'bone came on Wednesday afternoon, right before I had to leave for work (and it's a gorgeous instrument -- absolutely breathtaking); the bass and amp got here this morning (#3 son is thrilled -- we were serenaded all morning).

Merry Christmas.

2. Innit, though?
Just when I'd started to despair -- and had offered my opinion of UPS to more than one customer service rep -- they're here.

3. Cool!
UPS Delivers a week late, but at least they got there, eh?

boom boom boom

the bass and the trombone. Bonehead plays the trombone. What do you call the person who plays the bass? Basshead? (Might be seen as Bass-fish-head) ROFL

How's it going my sweetie Reidie!

I hear you have some snow, but not as much.

The serenades are just beginning!

:yourock:

5. Heh...
the serenades are nothing new...all the kids play some kind of instrument. Girly-poo plays trombone and violin, Bonehead plays trombone (although the nickname stuck LONG before he picked up a trombone), #3 son (aka Buzzard-Butt) plays cello, trumpet and bass, and #4 son plays trumpet. #1 son played clarinet -- mercifully, however, that was brief. And I've gotta say -- I've developed a deep appreciation for bass clef instruments. They don't squeak nearly as badly as the treble clef. However when a kid is first learning to get a sound out of something like a trombone, it makes a noise disturbingly similar to what I imagine an elephant with gas sounds like.

:eyes:

And yeah...we've got snow. About 2-3 feet of it at home. Last night on the way home, I slid into a median. I was only going about 10 mph -- if that -- and the median was snow-packed so no harm, no foul. And today it was interesting trying to get out of the driveway -- but at least the sun was out.

7. That's only one of the many
'pet' names I've come up with for them over the past week or so.
