In one of the most bizarre coincidences ever, John Adams, the 2nd President, and Thomas Jefferson, the 3rd President, both died on July 4, 1826, which also happened to be the 50th annivesary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Five years later, James Monroe, the 5th President, also died on July 4.

Two less significant presidents, Millard Fillmore, the 13th, and William Howard Taft, the 27th, also share a death date. Fillmore died on March 8, 1874, and Taft died on March 8, 1930.

Gerald Ford, the 38th and most recent president to die, passed away on December 26, 2006. Harry S. Truman, the 33rd, died 34 years earlier on December 26, 1972.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, only two presidents share a birth. James K. Polk, the 11th, was born on November 2, 1795, and Warren G. Harding, the 29th, was born on November 2, 1865.
