Ever tried, when somebody tries to convert you to his/her

2. every time they show up at my house "Hey have you considered Judaism?"

"Sure the book is heavier and a bit awkward to carry around with but just consider it ok?" That usually scares them right off the porch.

3. Once, actually.

I was in a park in North Carolina and this guy shows up and starts preaching at all of us there. We all just ignored him, but it started getting annoying. So I stood up and started... preaching.
Him: "The light is within you!"
Me: PEOPLE! Come see the light, the way!
Him: JESUS WANTS TO SAVE YOU!
Me: In the beginning, the Flying Spaghetti Monster created the world...
Him: YOU must let him guide you to salvation!
Me: It began with a mountain, a tree, and a MIDGIT!
Him: Then you will be taken away from the fire and brimstone...
Me: And he will save his people, the Pastafarians, dressed in full pirate garb!
Him: And into a blissful paradise!
Me: This, the beer, is his blood, and this, the pasta, his body!
Him: I am here as God's messenger to give you the hope that I have found!
Me: And you, the people of this generation, housed in universities, (apologies to SDS) drinking much beer and eating much ramen, are therefore his CHOSEN PEOPLE!!!

5. At one point, it was happening so often...

...that I had business cards printed up with a devil in a pentagram. Someone comes up and starts talking about how great being saved (medicated) is and how they've declared Jesus Christ as their personal savior (drank the mystery-ade), I just hand 'em one of those suckers.

Ends most drive-by conversion attempts pretty damn quick.

But we've only lived in civilization about a year. I expect to be visited soon enough.

My elder always invites Jehova's Witnesses and any other door-knocker proselytizers in for tea and a civilized, intellectual, respectful debate. I don't think she's had any takers yet, though.

9. When I was Lutheran I invited Jehovah's Witnesses in.

They would have their Bible and I would have mine, and we would compare notes. We met weekly for awhile, and then they finally gave up on me. It was fun debate.

I'm not Lutheran anymore, but I'm not a Witness, either.

To answer your question, I think you are doing a public service by doing the same thing back to them...if you have the time and energy.
