2. Not yet! My kids won't be back from Michigan until after
New Year's Eve. Then we'll have our celebration. After all, Santa left stuff at my house for the little guy!

8. I have a second Christmas next week at home.
Too many of my friends worked today or were out of town like me. We will have fried turkey, two of them.

9. Love Those Fried Turkeys!
didn't you have one at Thanksgiving too? I did man, there is little else to do to a Turkey IMO now that I've had those every year for the last 6 years at Thanksgiving. little injection of spice, fry that baby good. :hi:

I have two nice turkeys in the freezer. We had a turkey today but oven cooked, it was OK but fried is the only way to go. I am a expert now so frying the turkey will be easy. I really don't care for New Year's anyway.

12. Just Don't Burn Anything Down!
and keep the kiddos (if any around) away from the fryer. The fried turkey cooking is kind of fun, we have had a problem keeping the temp right, tends to get too hot easily once the Turkey gets cooking good. I'm not a big New Years fan either. Just another day

16. The electric one keeps the heat steady.
This is only my second time but I did pretty good last time. The best part besides eating the turkey is hanging out with the neighbors, everyone comes over.

17. Hey I'd Be Over If You Were My Neighbor Frying Turkey!
sounds like a lot of fun yeah the steady heat thing, that is something to really think about since the gas burner is so variable. We fried a thermometer once when it fell in the vat and basically melted. or rather the plastic top cover did.

18. Lots of people come over.
I think this time we will have enough turkey. The electric fryer might get more people into frying turkeys, less fear.

19. As Long As They Have A Long Extention Cord
all that heat under a roof could still be something that could ignite it I bet. But it is a heck of a lot safer I imagine, no source of possible explosion near the vat of boiling oil over the open flame! LOL Turkey party! Cool!

13. With Solstice it makes 3 .
Each one is different, this one is friends and neighbors. When I was a kid we always did Christmas on New Years at my Grandparents farm, my father worked on Christmas.
