A communication button
OK, so I am in charge of the 90 or so printers at my company - calling for service, ordering toner, troubleshooting, etc. Sometimes the repair guys talk to me before and after they service a printer, other times they don't. I may not know whether they've finished fixing something or they need to order a part and come back with it. So its a little frustrating because the users expect me to know whats going on.

Anyway, today my supervisor and the account rep met to talk about the account and they decided that maybe all the machines should be programmed with "a communication button" which the techs could use to send a report to me when they are leaving.

How about if they just call me up and tell me what they did?

1. No, I really think that a complicated and expensive technological solution
would be best. After all, post-it notes and telephones are just for the loozers who can't use 'technology'...
