***What a huge relief***

I've just finished my final assignment for my online Creative Writing Class...

It's a draft of a short story, and it was a lot of work........

But every now and then, inspiration would strike, and then the words would just flow out...

And now, hopefully, it's done!

Well, I have to say that I thought I'd like it more than I actually did...

Next time I take a creative writing class, I will do one in person.

It's too easy to duck doing the work when you're online.

OTOH, there's no parking hassles and that sort of thing.

But I missed the classroom participation a lot, more than I thought I would.

I ask because part of my job is helping faculty with technology and student perspective isn't always easy to come by.

No, there wasn't anything like that. It was set up like a message board, like DU...

And it did work........And I did get feedback...

But I missed the person-to-person stuff that you get in a real classroom.

And I hadn't thought that I would...:shrug:

6. I did all my teacher prep classes online

and a programming class and even Spanish. I like it because I can do it in my jammies on my time and don't need to have my butt in a chair somewhere across town and worry about racing home to let the dog out to pee or come home to an unwanted gift. Of course, I miss the interaction with other students but hey, time is a big issue.

no, I'd get home from work, eat some supper, change into my jammies, and study. It was damn hard, going to school full time and working. But hey, I made it and now have the job I've always wanted.

41. Short fiction for me is still *murderously* difficult.

So I know how great you must feel to have finally gotten that piece completed. My God. It's hard. And I just realized that one thing I did lose in a computer meltdown I have just suffered was the draft of a piece I had about one-third of the way complete. Not the end of the world, I know, but ouch.

For me, that's much more natural than anything long and complex...
