Remember Halloween Costumes from the early 60's?
The cheap ones from the dime store? Wow, did they suck. I had an astronaut costume - thin, uncomfortable mask with elastic string, pajama-type (probably flammable) suit with rocket-ships and comets printed on it. It wasn't exactly the John Glenn image I was looking for.

Why why why why why why why why why why why why why why?!

Doubly why why why why why?!

Funny how all these things need to have the logo and other recognizable images on them...

Is that just me, or is the emblem on the dude's hat that of a uterus w/fallopian tubes?!

Even with the extra graphics, what the hell is this?!

You've got to be kidding me!

Noooooooooooooooo comment...

6. Maybe it doubles as a Janet Wood mask. The Scott Baio mask looks like
Tom Cruise to me, so they probably used it for both.

7. You can still buy all-in-one suit type costumes.
Masks for little kids are not quite as prevalent, though.

I never once wore a store-bought costume when I was a child. My mother made all of our costumes. I still have two of them.
