Help - anybody made a Japanese geisha wig (katsura) before?

I am going to do my best with a $5 witch wig. :)

I already have a kimono, tall sandals, etc.

Perhaps even centuries, though that could be pushing it.

4. All I know is that in the days when women wore their hair like this for

real, they used forms (known as "rats" in English in the days of the Gibson Girl, which was a similar hairsylte) which they placed on their heads and combed their hair over.
