In just two weeks, I will leave the NY area

and return to the Raleigh/Durham, NC area. I am very sad about this. I will be leaving a job I love, one I will not be able to find anywhere else, with great coworkers. I will also be leaving an area I love, where I don't need a car to go anywhere, where people from all over walk together in peace: the wealthy, the poor, the Jews, the Muslims, the French, the Germans, the Italians, the Indians, and so on.

But my mother in law has terminal lung cancer and my husband naturally wants to spend her remaining time as close to her as possible.

So, just two weeks and my brief four-year affair with New York will come to an abrupt end...

Thankfully, the kitty and doggie picture threads have helped!
