28. Oh so sweet
and just so you know, there is a giant stray hanging around my porch who looks JUST like an ocelot, so right now I am calling him Sir Ocelot....poor thing...half starved and the dogs keep scaring him off, though the cats have accepted him...

33. Absolutely
I plan to be the home for him as soon as the poor thing trusts me. I am a hopeless case when it comes to strays. I am only up this late tonight because I am waiting to see if he shows up (it's always late when he does). Food is out for him at any rate. Sir Ocelot has a home; however, he is going to have to part with those, um, appendages...ahem..

Edited on Tue Oct-24-06 06:12 PM by Orsino
My wife has known him since his birth; I met him a few years later. He has no voice, and like his mother can only whisper, "Whah!" He loves to get up on the shelf to be petted.

I can't find instructions on how to post a pic from my hard drive - just how to post pix from the internet. Or I'd post my kitty, too. :-(

14. I didn't know either till a few weeks ago. Here's how...
Someone here told me about photobucket.com ... go there, register, and you can upload from your computer, then use the pic's url to copy/paste into a message block here and bingo, the picture appears.

29. Chairman Meow, one of the twins I adopted.
I found him and his brother (Flea taxi) when I was pulled over for speeding on Labor day, 2004. I heard meowing in the weeds where I pulled over. The trooper helped me catch them both and get them into the truck. Best couple of hundred bucks I ever spent! (speeding ticket) They are identical twins.

39. and he still gave you a ticket?
oh geez....what a guy...on the one hand I think how great he helped you, but for crying out loud...how about a warning ticket...?

On yet another hand...I guess that trooper saved those cats lives by pulling YOU over at that place and at that time. Lucky cats! You're right about the money spent....

:applause:

I also enjoy the cats. They are great little guys and they go out of their way to be friendly. They even have won the hearts of all the dogs (six of them). Here is Larry hanging out with flea taxi.

49. We got a new sofa recently; our YoYo made us keep the old one.
We turned it on end temporarily, to make room for the new
one...and she staked it out immediately, and got upset if
we so much as bumped into it.

Long story short: It's back on its feet in our
much-too-crowded living room.

We are SOOOO kitty-whipped!
