Who is your very best friend of all time and why?
I have a friend that I could see after 10 years and could move into the house without a twitch if I needed to. Truly a wonderful person. They could do the same, by the way, though their kid is a bit of a problem child!

1. Dale
(AKA The Missing Link.) I don't know what he sees in me, but he seems to like me. Thank god we never lived together; we'd've killed each other. He is very neat and I am a slob. But he's my dearest friend, and I love him & miss him badly.

she's the one that I can say "i know this sounds nuts to everyone else but..." and she'll say "oh yeah, i know exactly where you are talking from, I don't think it's nuts..." What more can you ask for in a best friend then someone who does as much psychoanalyzing as yourself???

Also, the fact that we've been thru thick 'n thin for the last 30 years does help. We know where ALL of the skeletons are buried!!!

4. Would have to be either one of my sisters
because they know where all the skeletons are buried and i wouldn't have to re-explain anything. Some things are just impossible to explain so many years later anyway.

5. Off the subject
I was hired years ago to work with a girl that was supposed to be multiple personality. She had been severely abused. She would go into her own world and just repeat the phrase "skeletons" over and over in this freaky voice. I hope she's doing better.

What was the question? oops...........

7. unfortunately
I lost the best friend I ever had 4 years ago. When Jimmy dies of liver cancer, it was the closest I've come to losing a brother. We worked together for almost 20 years and there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for me or any other coworker.I think of him everyday and I miss alot.

6. Kathy has been my best friend for 22 years
We were inseperable in high school during the summers... the pool and the beach, and sleepovers half the week. Then we went to different colleges, but saw each other at least a few times a year. I moved to another city for a couple years, and then came back home. Now it's just like it was in high school... They say you can't choose your family. But I feel like I was allowed to choose my sister. We have often joked that it's a shame we're both straight, because we are the only ones who have never let us down, always been there, always had each other's best interest at heart. I doubt we could ever find anyone else to measure up to that!

We've also seen each other through both of us losing both our parents at a young age and both divorcing from bad marriages. she's been my rock, and I've been hers.

I couldn't ask for a better friend. I would honestly say she's the one thing in the world I am most grateful for. And yes, I have told her that several times.

8. My Bud Vicki, and my wife Deborah
Vick is my bud. Met her through a friend and we've been best of buds ever since. Our closing is LYNS, which is LOVE YOU NO SHIT.

Deb is the best. We fight and can't stay mad. We are both nuts, yet we don't drive each other nuts. She's almost as smart as me, thank the gods.

11. My friend Alicia
She moved last year from CT to FL and it sucks a lot. We are so different but both of us have a tendancy to be very honest and not go for the typical phoney girly thing that in the way that many women still relate as adults. Sometimes, we annoyed each other- she get's too negative, I'm too "attention seeking", but over the years (we've been friends since we were 16), we've both mellowed and still can talk about anything with each other. We know each other's secrets and I can trust her.

12. My friend Paula

I met her in 1954. She got a spanking for crossing the street to come to see me. I was three and she was two. A year later, her mother "kept me" while my mother worked. We have always been close. We have been through life together. We haven't lived in close proximity for many years - since high school, but have always been in touch and see each other as often as we can. What I don't remember from childhood, she does and visa versa. She is the best, through hard times and good times. One of my favorites is that she remembers when I was skinny and had trouble gaining weight. She is my friend, my confidante, my memories, and my counselor.

13. My friend Paul
I've only known him for three years, but he is a wonderful friend, loves all the stuff I do, has a similar family situation, and he's a liberal. That's one thing that I love about him - he loves politics just like I do. And South Park.

14. Other than my sis...
my best friend is Mike. We've known each other for about 12 years. He's gay and I'm a lesbian so we have that bond (I guess you'd say). We used to work together years ago and now are probably the most important people in each other's lives (at least right now). We've both grown so much in the same direction and are on paths of self-actualization and our own special brand of spiritually. I once read an essay about friendship and a question was posed: "who would you call if you were unduly (or hell, even duly - if there's such a word) arrested in a foreign jail? - no question - it'd be each other. We both went through devastating breakups with our partners this year and were there for each other in every way - middle of the night phone calls, dropping whatever we were doing to be there at a moments notice, stuff like that. We also can have the most indepth, meaning of life conversations that I never even imagined were possible. He's in Europe until 1/7 (been gone since 12/17) I miss him big time! Oh yea, we also have a really neat deal with each other. When we're about to talk about an important issue, we check in with the one getting ready to bring up the situation and ask each other:"do you want me to just listen and be supportive, or do you want my opinion, advice?" I swear - it's the MOST amazing friendship.

19. My beautiful and very talented...
...partner, Sapphocrat, without a shadow of doubt.

She knows how to make me laugh, bring a smile to my face, and is always there when I need someone to lean on, no matter what time of the day or night it is, when I call or Instant Message her.

I have had lots of friends in my life, but none of them compare to her.

It is unconditional love, and unconditional friendship.
