Roger Waters on Bush?
A photo from Roger Waters' Dark Side of the Moon tour in toronto at Air Canada Centre. Wonder if this is a comment on Bush? If so, I don't believe George was actually educated in Texas.

1. IIRC, Bush did go to Midland High School
But he also went to Andover, Yale, and Harvard. So he got a *bit* of a Texas education. But the reality is he was born a moron.

3. Oh wow!
Smerkonish seems to have some issues. I know I constantly (it seems) argue on DU against making comparisons between Bush and Hitler or Bush and mental illness but damn, this was a rock and roll show. If you don't expect a bit of hyperbole from a rock show then I think you have your own issues. Besides, the Bush/Hussein connection is a little bit tighter than Bush/Hitler.

5. I'm meeting up with a friend this weekend who was Roger's
personal cook for about a year. I'll find out what he's like politically.

6. He's one of us
Except for the fox hunting thing. He has a peculiar view of fox hunting (very much in favor of it). But he's written some great songs about the US and the Middle East. The whole Amused to Death album is a great commentary on America and its increasingly militaristic foreign policy (though it was written in response to the first Gulf War). And he has been extremely critical of the right down through the years, having taken many shots at Reagan and Thatcher (and Kissinger, too). He's very anti-imperialistic.

7. Yes, my friend did mention he was of our type.
She also said he was a man of few words at home. Wife did most of the talking. He was verrrrry mellow.
