I had first seen The Jerk on network TV, so I spent years thinking the damn dog's name was "Stupid." One day, I was discussing the movie with one of Mrs. Ironflange's friends, and happened to mention "Stupid." I have never in my life, before or since, had anyone scream with laughter at me quite like that; she was literally rolling on the floor, choking out something like "not Stupid. . . gasp. . . it's Shithead. . . you idiot. . ."

That didn't do wonders for my self-esteem. :(
