A Gripe bout back to the future haters
i dont see why people hate this movie, alot of it i heard was cause of all the product placement, but, when you think about it, advertisements are/were everywhere, and it wasent out of the ordinary for a town in the 50's to have ad's every 2 inches, in the 80's for a guy to order a pepsi, and in the future for toymakers to put thier logo on things

1. It's a conservative movie anyway.
I own the DVD boxed set, so I'm in your corner. But the conservative themes are clear. It's very much a Reagan-era movie. Marty McFly is a pure materialist and his reward at the end is a brand new 4x4 SUV. The movie shows him getting the car almost religiously, as if he's finding the Holy Grail. The 1950s is seen as an idyllic, perfect landscape, as befits Reagan-era nostalgia for the pre-counterculture era.

3. there is that
but there is biff's constant sexual harassment of marty's mom and he almost rapes her near the end, and marty's mom is a huge boozer even back in the 50's, as fo the materialisim, meh, wouldent we all like a sweet car

I watched it again last night for the God-only-knows-how-many-umpteenth-time because I love that movie! The other 2 are good two.

5. Just good plain entertainment.
The first movie is a classic. The other two, ordinary but very enjoyable. Plus if you're a scifi/time travel buff, it's a great spin on the genre. And the train scene at the end of the 3rd movie is very well filmed.

7. I like BTTF...It's Ferris Bueller's Day Off that is the worst movie ever
I repeat:
Worst
Movie
Ever

If I knew that kid in real life I'd want to punch him in the face. Why would I want to watch and hour and a half movie about such an insipid, selfish weasel.
