filling and perfectly spicy with just the right amount of oil and the right proportions of beans, rice and lettuce.

where I had a hormonally emo crying jag over getting her a box of breadcrumbs (long story.)

11. There was a restaurant in my hometown
called Bewley's. They had the most awesome burritos. It was nothing but a ground beef burrito mix in a tortilla, but it tasted frickin' awesome. They wrapped them in this dimpled aluminum foil.

Aah.. the things you remember from childhood.

13. If you can't have them for dinner
There is nothing like a breakfast burrito off of a film crew catering truck. Bacon, salsa, scrambled eggs, cheese, oh yumm!

14. Of that I could eat, well... the salsa.
I make some pretty badass breakfast burritos with potatoes, salsa, onions, peppers and some soyrizo if it happens to be lying about.

35. The potatoes are a good thought

I've never had s*yrizo. It's got to be pig or beef. Though I'm thinking that a duck confit burrito could be pretty good.

36. Well, I won't eat the real stuff, being vegan and all.
The soy imitation is pretty damn convincing, though it needs a little more oil than it comes out of the package with to be properly bathed in flavorful grease for the potatoes to soak up. Light olive oil works nicely.

I figure I get a good night's sleep again at some point around the time I'm 40 and the rugrat is out of the house. Assuming I don't have any more.

21. Pretty much, yeah...
And we're having a last minute sleepover with PassingFair's daughter tonight.

They are good kids though. BabyG has been up 3 times since he went to bed two hours ago. They lie when they say that infants eventually sleep through the night. My "infant" is 8 and I am sure I will wake up with wide chocolate brown eyes staring into mine at about 2:30. :hangover:

22. LeftyKid finally sleeps through, but his hours are erratic and he's
sometimes a very early riser, a trait he certainly doesn't get from me.

The thing that sucks is he just needs less sleep than I do. I try to catch up when he's at his Dad's but it really doesn't help much. :(

That's good that WBG and WBPF are being good though. :)

23. Single parenthood is a trial at times.

I remember when WannaBe was young (MrG adopted her after we got married), I would put in taped episodes of Barney after I got home from work just so I could catch a nap. I have a lot of really guilty memories of her waking me up on the couch at 9PM with, "Mama, I hungie. Eat soon, pease?" I applaud you for your strength LM.

25. I sure didn't sign up for the job.
I don't know how I manage, sometimes. Because it's easier than not managing, I guess. He's a good kid, and he deserves everything I can give him, and more. I do what I can and try not to beat myself up over the rest.
