That's the next thing I'm going to learn to drive after a car!

3. Oh, lelapin.
You want to get lots of driving experience first. And then take a motorcycle safety course or two. It really takes some skill to be safe on them.

6. OK...
I'm a lot more cautious IRL, I swear :) Besides, I've seen some nasty accidents with those. I'll ride with someone else. :P

8. I hope you are.
And be careful who you ride with. My neighbor's brother was killed on one Sunday night.

9. Oh my goodness!
:( I'm sorry... that's terrible. Yes, those things are worthy of wariness.

10. Thanks.
It is pretty terrible. :(

Harleydad took both motorcycle safety courses and reads all the books on safety, wears all the gear, drives defensively ... and I still worry about him. But at least I know he's doing everything he can do to be safe. I don't think I'd be very happy if one of my kids got one.

12. Thanks, AirmensMom!

I wish you could here to see my Beautiful Beast this winter. The place I'm renting is a gated community so it'll be safe if we don't get a hurricane late in the season. I'll have to evacuate if we do because I rented a trailer.

11. I feel safer
on 18 wheels  .. I love truck driving. BUT, I'll settle for my 4 wheeled grand am.

13. I have a CDL but I think 18 wheels is a bit much for me.

You know ~ checking glad-hands and all that pretrip stuff.

14. I used to teach
truck driving too. The circle check is very involved and a lot of students never made it out of the parking lot because they couldn't remember everything they needed to check. We eventually had to spend a LOT more time teaching the pre-trip than we had been originally doing. I really enjoy getting my hands dirty so it never bothered me in the least. :)

:hi:
