1. I second that...
I have been doing laundry at 3 in the morning so that I can run the dryer and not choke from the heat.
I wish it would snow!

about the snow this winter. Of course, I sure would like to see some snow here in Georgia in the winter. We only get a light dusting then.

2. I've had my face in front of my AC and I don't care if my skin feels numb
after an hour of doing this....yeah, I'm counting down the days until this miserable, sticky season is over and done with!

3. It seems to have broken in the U.K.
We had a couple of weeks of heat, including a new all-time record for July - but yesterday we were hit by a biiiig thunderstorm (which was way cool, not least as I was eating outside during it), and today it's been warm, but not hot.

Even 'impervious to heat' me was pleased that things are cooler.

7. Well, look at it this way
In thirty days it'll be the 29th of august, just a few short weeks from fall. In 60 days it will be 29 September the trees will be turning and we'll be digging out sweaters, hang in there.

14. At least you have a fall. We usually have two seasons.
Winter and August. Now you know why Texans (like me are so crazy) our brains are fried. You get no relief at night as it hardly ever gets below 75°. The accumulation of heat, wears on you body and psyche. Also you never know when August will end, sometime around the end of October here in balmy East Texas. Oh yea it ain't just the heat, it's the humidity as well. This pushes the heat index to well over 100° everyday for weeks on end. The sweat just stays on you until gravity drags it off. No evaporation here. You feel like a used tea bag.

That being said, after watching Fargo I realize I wouldn't live pass the first snowstorm. I'd be at the bottom of some poor farmers pond. As the sky, landscape and roads all look the same.

10. I have been very fortunate here in North Georgia.
I'm just northwest of Atlanta. Today has been overcast and my outside thermometer has only registered 83 today in the shade. I was able to take my 2 dogs for a walk and not come back covered with sweat. But I am sure it will be a lot warmer tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

16. It was a bit more than refreshing
when we were camping there in June. 30 mph winds blowing off the lake, and SNOW overnight. We sure weren't expecting that.

17. I'm with you Mrs. Sniffa.

We've had four weeks of high temps and high humidity.

I'm out of the shower and start sweating immediately!

There's no point in taking one before 11-12 PM.

No A/C-no insulation in this *&^%$#%^& house(rental)

Arghhh!!!!!!!!!!

:nuke:

It feels better after I complain.

18. It's a tad warm here in Las Vegas
(but only 'til November) and I've reached the point today where I have no choice but to don my black leather to take my bike out on an errands mission...I've delayed and delayed, but the time hath come. So here goes another ten pounds of water weight on its way out...

21. Oh, yeah, right. That's just great.
And you're surrounded by treehugging pinko commie longhaired hippies and have all the granola you can eat, right? Ha! You Oregonianese...you think you're sooooooooo superior!

:pffffttttttthhhh:

Don't mind me. I'm just jealous. And I think the heat got to me. And there're no trees to hug here, just cactus...

22. Yep!
And I just got back from camping in some incredibly beautiful wilderness with waterfalls and gi-normous moss-laden trees yet with access to yummy lattes and imported cheese in small-yet-hip little towns in central Oregon. BWA HA HA HA!

Not really.

I retract that comment, utterly. I don't even dislike you. I doubt I'd even mildly disagree with you.

But I probably could if you keep posting weather and hiking reports from that temperate paradise... :P

24. Okay...I want your approval, so ...
I, um, actually spent all weekend hangin' at the strip mall in 95 degree heat, and it was so unpleasant that riots broke out and I got arrested for making off with some beef jerky from the 7-11...Sadly, the whole thing could have been avoided because I don't eat red meat. :o

Mid 90's and stifling humidity in Dallas today.
I wish to hell(pun intended) my employer had a load
to Fairbanks, AK!!!!

I'd rather chain up any day if it means I don't
feel icky an hour after showering.
