Question about AdultFriendFinder.com

No, I'm not looking for action. I don't think of myself as a prude, but I'm 46 years old, and if you gathered all my sex partners together, they could all fit in one pair of pants.

I'm asking about this swingers site because I've been getting hate mail from my favorite freeper fundy family member. I did a google search under his preferred screen name and found he has a listing on adultfriendfinder. He's not going to church anymore, but a few years ago he became a deacon, and promptly fied off a long letter to me explaining what a piece of shit I am for not being like him. (too much information, I know)

So here's the question: On AFF each member has a rating, measured in stars. I'm curious to know what that means. Is it just an indication of what level of membership a person has paid for, or is it a rating from other members who have hooked up with him (you guessed it! He only got two stars!)

Anybody have any idea about how the site works? I don't want to pay for a membership just to see his info. But I'd like to know the basics.

And I got a free membership, which does not let you view a person's profile (In reality, it's not a membership at all). I'm not going to get a paid membership, no matter what. My wife wasn't too crazy about the free membership, though she's as curious as I am.

the person is to whomever is searching and what criteria was used in the search (distance, age, etc). I think Yahoo and Match do something similar.

FYI, AdultFriendFinder isn't only used by swingers (maybe half the people there are). It's also used by both gays and straights looking for no strings attached sex, marrieds looking to cheat, prostitutes looking for customers, and basically everyone looking to get screwed. Still, you gotta be pretty sexually open to use it.

The stars, if I remember correctly, are a rating for the users photographs. Kinda like HotOrNot. I haven't looked at the site in a very long time (and for the record, I NEVER had an account or used the website), but a friend...who does 3ways with his wife...uses it and showed me years ago. I think he was trying to get my wife and I in bed with him :)

He didn't mention his wife. I don't know if she swings, but it wouldn't surprize me.

And I'm serious and totally honest when I say this, that I'm an expert ONLY because of a lot of research I've done on a novel I'm writing (that will never be published, at this rate), I can tell you a couple of things. First, "swingers" are couples that party together. There are three main types--some who swap partners, others who stay with their partners but just like the open sexual atmosphere of the parties and will often let others watch them, and still others who basically have an open marriage and go their own ways. Most swingers follow a "code" and will only party with couples or single females (married or not), and sometimes with single men, if they have something to offer. Almost never with married men without their partners. The whole point of swinging is that couples fool around together so they don't have to cheat. Married men who try to horn their way in are almost universally despised as cheaters.

So, if he's looking for couples, either his wife is involved, or he's unlikely to get much response. If his wife is part of it, he will say it in the ad, and if he doesn't, he's cheating. So, did he have really disgusting nude pics? The religious type always do!
