Anyone here have political dreams?
By that I mean really dream about political stuff, like go to sleep and wake up after having wacky dreams about political stuff. My room mate last year had one political dream per week or so. In one he was on Airforce one with Nixson and it crashed. In another he saved Al Gore's life. I thought all of this was strange until last night when I had a political dream of my own.

3. Max Shachtman
I recently had a dream where I saw a news report about Max Shachtman's granddaughter skinning her grandson after picking him up from school. It's not too political, but it does have Max Shachtman's decendents in it.

4. Don't feel foolish! I posted this in the wrong place...

When Reagan was president I dreamed that I was brushing my teeth at this big sink and suddenly realized I was sharing the sink with Reagan, he was brushing his teeth too. I felt obliged to be polite to him, and I resented that.

My dislike for Ronald Reagan is not only because of everything he did as president. It goes way back to when he was governor of California. He cut the budget by closing prisons, mental hospitals and reform schools and just letting the inmates out on the streets - those who were dangerous, those who could not care for themselves, everyone. California has never fully gotten a handle on its mentally ill population since then.

On a very personal level, he closed the reform school my dad taught at and it devastated our family.

All in all, if I really had had to brush my teeth next to Reagan, I'd have a very tough time with it.

6. my Martha Stewart kicks bush's butt dream
I have political dreams all the time! Sometimes they are funny but other times they are just horror shows like the ones from the other night about the corpse showing of Saddam's sons. And please note! I didn't see anything on TV about it because I deliberately avoided it but I did see one pic online. That was enough to give me nightmares all night long.

Here's a highlight from a dream I had about Martha Stewart kicking bushco's butt:

I had this visual image of Martha with a mop and a bucket with suds in it. When she poured the soapy water on the floor, the faces of bush, cheney and ashcroft appeared and the two of us gleefully scrubbed the floor with it. We were whirling around the room with our mops, like Samantha the witch. It was so much fun! At the end of the dream, I saw Martha's face and while it was determined, it was also obvious she was having fun fun fun!

I believe this dream is saying that Martha is a dangerous and worthy opponent for the DOJ.

7. Saddam's sons
The images didn't just give children nghtmares I guess. I thought it was such a double standard, we can show dead people but Saddam couldn't show our captured troops on TV.
Lucky for me no strange dreams last night.

one night and stole my wife's knick-knack collection. Does that count?

10. I once had a dream...
That I was at a dinner party with Bush, Clinton, Kim Jung Il, Saddam, Osama, Blair, ect.

We just talked and shot the breeze. Nothing substantial happened.

12. I might have dreamt this
but I could have sworn that after Clinton was elected in 1992, a book came out within a year or two on the subject of people's dreams about Bill Clinton.

Actually, after a Google search, I found out I was not dreaming, and here's an old salon.com article to prove it:

http://archive.salon.com/mwt/feature/1998/02/20feature.html

I can't remember any overt political dreams at this moment. I do know I had two memorable dreams about 9-11, one during that very night, I believe. I was trying to get information from TV about it, and none of the stations were coming in. A week or two later, I dreamt I was sitting on the second-floor patio of a cafe at twilight looking down on a long procession of people holding candles, and I knew they were memorializing the victims of 9-11.
