He's an ex Marine, avid golfer, loves to travel. He's picky and hard to buy for. Help me out here, PLEASE!

1. depends on what you want to spend
you could give him a weekend outing at one of the top golf schools.
You could give him a gift certificate to his favorite golf pro shop
You could give him new luggage for travel.

4. Expensive foreign beer.
I don't know how much a six-pack of Guinness costs these days, but it's something different that he probably wouldn't buy for himself.

5. You didn't mention an amount,
so I'm going to suggest a gift card for his favorite store for golf equipment. Sometimes, when I can't figure out what gift to get for someone, I'll get them a gift card at a movie theater and another for a restaurant I know they like---then they can have a "night out".

6. Thanks for the great suggestions.
I got him this:

Cool swiss army knife and binoculars. He's a huge golf nut, so I think the golf tool will come in handy, and the binoculars will help him find his balls.

If he's a drinker, treat him to a beer.

In Munich, Germany!

8. He's a golfer
They're crazy. You could get anything from a new driver to a ceramic figurine of a puppy teeing off with the caption "Doggone Good Golfer!" and he'd love it.
