We've been spending 2 and a half weeks in the Keys. You know what it's like to get swooped up from your couch and your vegetable torpor, and SPIRITED AWAY from Lifetime Movie Network, an unhealthy pallor, dark circles and 20 extra pounds? From a town that's nothing but orange pylons and roadwork and dirt- to a paradise with dolphins and wee geckos with curly tails, green ocean and laid-back people? Honey, whatever I "had" before I left NC, I don't have it now. I'm back to my old self, lost weight and all.

15. I'm doing much better.

I finally got to go to the art museum in Raleigh this semester in art class. My teacher liked me drawing. When the pictures are posted, I'll send you a link if you want. Mine is the one in the center. It's an abstract collage the whole class did and they picked mine to go in the center. It's just a circle with some Italian horns around it. Truly nothing fancy, but I sure have enjoyed the art class this semester, nonetheless. I still wanna learn how to paint a cat. I'm so nervous to ask the art teacher about teaching me how to. The semester will be over Tuesday, so either I get the kinks out of my nerves and ask now or forever hold my peace.

You didn't move from NC, did ya? I like knowing you are somewhat nearby. It makes me feel less unsafe. You know ol' Rottingham and what it's like.

I took a month away from my computer, only checking in VERY sporadically. Right now, Joani and I are in the Keys! We've been here since June 30th ad we're headed back in a couple of days. This has been the best recuperative and joyful time I've had since way back last year.

Do you know how freakin' nice the people are down here? And the water is extremely clear, blue-green with sparkling white surf. We went deep-sea fishing yesterday for the entire day.I caught a shark and let it go. And tomorrow I may get to swim with dolphins!

I miss you and everyone on this thread. Gonna post more, cherie, and we'll show pictures of the Keys. And I want to know how you're doing too.

They are great! Mike and I just got back from a haircut (his)...Good mellow weekend. :)

I am quite well...I've had a cold for a week or so, but otherwise, a-ok! Look for me here late nights...that's when I tend to get a lil...er, tipsy and post like a madwoman...Sniffa was here a little over a week ago, and the Mrs. has been posting here and there. :)
