is the sea."

Can't you picture young, cute "Brandy" running up to the ship excitedly, clutching the locket that her sailor boyfriend gave her, as the silver chain (which is made from the finest silver from the north of Spain) slaps across her neck? She jumps up and gives her sailor a big hug!

Then he tells her that.

(edit: oh man, I can never get my posts right!)

14. It's so funny. Just last week I really listened to the lyrics.
Edited on Fri Jul-14-06 12:27 AM by quantessd
I've heard the song many times before, to sort of annoyance at times, thinking oh it's "Brrandayah she's a fine girl...jab a jabb jabb jabber.....Blab, a jabitty jabber...blab a jab a jab jab a blabitty jab!" again, then I change the channel. Because, I am from a generation later, and I always got impatient at the song. I'm 35 years old.

But now that I've listened to the song, I know why it has gotten such regular airplay over the years. The song tells a good story.
