Poll question: I'm such a carnivore
Edited on Tue Jul-11-06 11:07 PM by RagingInMiami
That I use lard to condition my cast iron skillet instead of the recommended vegetable shortening.

What are you?

1. I love nice juicy, blood-rich meat
Blood rare. Howling like a wild animal with blood oozing down my chin.

*growls*

All these offal eaters are the scary ones. I'm sure Buttercup would agree.

10. I'm so vegetarian
I would throw out my pots if they sat on the same counter as lard. Yesterday someone at work microwaved some poor former little animal and just the smell gave me indigestion.

13. Omnivore
I do eat meat but not often this time of year. I love all the fresh produce from the garden.
Tonight's dinner was grilled zucchini, green beans with new potatoes & sliced tomatoes. I didn't miss the meat at all.

I could probably become a vegetarian easily but never a vegan.

16. Other!
I'm a carnivore who will (Out of respect for my sister in-law who is a vegetarian) will go days without eating meat around her.

And also, even though I love meat 0ne of my favorite meals is actually salad. I really dig on the stuff.

17. Balanced omnivore.
By which I mean everything (except fish and seafood which I don't like) but my meat consumption is considerably lower than most. I can easily go for several days without eating meat, not as a matter of conscious choice but just because there's so much very yummy non-meat food out there.

I have purposefully spent longish periods not eating meat, and even eating a vegan diet once - but always returned - this means that I do appreciate vegetarians and vegans, it can be a pretty difficult position to maintain at times (especially when eating socially), and so standing up for their principles (even if I don't share them) deserves kudos.

19. hard core Carnivore, trying to reform
Grew up in the midwest, my grandfather lived next door and would by half a cow at a time. chicken and fish were not considered meat when I was a kid, only beef.

I have only had beef twice in the last three weeks and has helped me to drop 7 pounds.
