1. It's a rule that they came up with
to make life harder for the people who had no hands. The man has to keep them down, because if ever they were allowed a fair chance, the handless people of the world would rise up and become chess masters unlike any the world has ever seen. With their feet they would move the pieces, and in their minds they would strategize, as if on a great battlefield, and bring crashing to the ground the established masters of Chess.
