This almost choked me up
So my aunt-in-law, who lost her favorite Siberian Husky "Big Jack" last year mysteriously (just died one morning, she was devastated) has returned from her journey to pick up a new puppy from the same kennel as Jack.

She's back, with new puppy in tow. Looks just like Jack, only a tenth the size, and a girl-dog.

I asked the new dog's name, and the aunt-in-law says "I named her Eir, after the nordic goddess of healing."

(sniff)

3. That's sweet.
I love the name, too. Those are the most beautiful dogs. Don't know what I'd do if my Chow Chow just died like that. I'm glad she found herself another friend. It really is the best thing to help ease the loss of a longtime pet.
