Some people I love...
Just had to share! A bunch of the best friends anyone could ask for, at my house for "game night":

My Jess, My Anne, and her husband Scott:

My Bil, My best friend Amy, and part of my husband:

1. I live hour away from all of my friends. :(
I rarely get to see most of my friends anymore. So many people have moved away from NYC. :(

It looks like you all had fun, except for Bil.

And Scott is a cutie.

2. I hear you, ThomCat.
All of my family is on the other coast, except for one sister who lives six hours away, and who is so busy I don't see her more than once or twice a year at most. And in this town, while I have acquaintances I have virtually nobody I'd call a friend. It can be hard sometimes.

On the other hand, those are very nice pictures. Happy scene.

5. How did you end up in Maine?
It's beautiful up there for a few months each year. :P But that doesn't seem the kind of place someone ends up accidentally.

10. My soon to be ex-husband's work brought him up here.
He had the choice of Illinois or Maine and he chose Maine. We tried to get the hell out for the next ten years: no dice. Now my kids are of an age where it would be hard on them to move, so I'm stuck here. And horrifying to me is the fact that eligible males are scarce. I must have done something really terrible in a past life, because in this one, I'm totally screwed!

6. They are! I didn't want them to leave, it was so much fun.
Of course, I'd imbibed far and away the most of anyone, so that may have factored in...

9. Thanks, I've been friends with most of them since high school.
I must've had good taste in friends back then, because most of my old pals have turned out to be wonderful, mature, fun-loving, (flaming liberal) adults. I love them to pieces!
