Amy Lee of Evanescence has the best singing voice ever....
Edited on Sat Dec-13-03 03:51 AM by Blade
I'm watching her video right now on VH1 titled "My Immortal" and her voice is just Heavenly. It's like a Siren from "The Odyssey." Every song on their CD also rocks!

I just love her voice. Her looks help a lot too, considering she's one of those naturally good looking chicks. I think I'm in love with her....:loveya:

She is an example of sheer perfection in the entertainment business. Fame hasn't gotten to her head, she isn't selling CDs based on how hot she is, rather, by how hot her singing voice is, and she has powerful messages in her music.

If you never heard her voice, I urge you to d/l some of their stuff and listen to it. You won't regret it.

1. Her voice is faultless...
"Going Under" is my favorite on the album. And she is very pretty, too!

4. YES! She has the most exquisite voice
I think she is just perfect. The anti-thesis of Brittany. Talent but this fame won't give her a break till men will.

5. Evanescence
Isn't that a Christian Rock group? Not that there's anything wrong with that... but one of my daughters likes them and I could swear she said they were a Christian group. I wouldn't know, I don't listen to the same station my daughter listens to.

I might have them confused with someone else, but I could swear my daughter said they were a God Rock group. I'll look into it. Thanks!

22. They used to be a christian rock group and weren't making any money,
so they went mainstream.

23. Actually...yes they are
Their previous work is classified under Christian Rock, and they just cut back on all the God references for their new CD. But read the lyrics and the liner notes. theyare indeed a Christian Rock band.

And for the purpose of news...Amy is the only one left in the band. The rest have quit recently.

24. Sounds like New Bohemians...
Right after their second album, the band got tired of Edie Brickell getting all the press, so they all quit, leaving her alone (at the mercy of Paul Simon! EEEEEK!).

For the record, I'm a PS fan - I was just joking about their age difference...

7. I suppose you hate U2 as well
Open your ears, eyes and mind. It's all there to feel if you let your mind allow it.

9. actually....
As Amy Lee has said numerous times in interviews and artices. They are Christians who play rock music but they dont try to use their music to preach christianity.

10. Yeah...
I was just saying they're a rock group, not a music group who plays christian music.

14. What is the problemo with that?
Don't listen if you hate the message. I don't care if Hindis, Bhuddists, Moslems, Christians, or Jews are listening. I'll proclaim my agnosticism through the highest hills. I do care about other peoples' believes. Show them the same respect, little girl.

Actually I don't hate Evanescence, never said I did, and I happen to love the group U2. Don't know what I said to indicate otherwise, but, whatever, dude.

21. yes, they started as Christian rock
but I think it was just a launching pad to mainstream

Think of Janice Soprano and her foray into Christian rock----"Fastest growing segment of the music industry"

But you are totally right. Listen to the lyrics for goodnesssake

12. You must not have heard Freddie Mercury sing
"Barcelona" with some fat opera singer. That man could sing rock, opera, damn near everything. Evanescence's singer reminds me a lot of Enya.

18. Evanescence is one FINE example of
the Little Rock music scene and philosophy. If it was simply about the money here, there wouldn't be any bands working. They all play for the love of it. A few, like Evanescence, get smiled on by Fortune. And no matter how high they rise, they generally stay true to their vision.

Back to the topic of singing voices, there are many great ones here. Rufus Thomas hisownself once told Barbara Rainey, "Man, I didn't know white girls could sing like that!"

Yes, Ms Lee ROCKS!
:bounce:
