Poll question: Favorite Bernard Herrmann Score

1. Hard to judge, they're all good,

but there seems to be something extra special in the music of North by Northwest. Psycho has the great music for the shower scene, but in many ways, that's about it in terms of high points of the score.

North by Northwest is consistently good throughout.

Though Vertigo also is good.

Citizen Kane works really well, but it isn't quite in the "wow" category.

2. "Twilight Zone Theme" - the FIRST year, NOT that silly "do do do do"

version.

3. The Wrong Man

has this crazy, sinister sounding mambo running through it. It may not be my favorite Hermann score (or Hitchcock movie, for that matter), but it's a surprisingly effective one.

"Betsy in the White Dress" is on my answering machine

Klaatu barata nikto, whatever. Another great score, by a great composer.
