"dialup broadband" .. true? or just an exaggeration/lie?
anyone know? Clark Howard said it was coming, no word fm him on this yet... see below snip. Consumer reports, also no word yet. I got this via a

google for dialup broadband.

2. I haven't heard of this
and I work in Telecom management. If it was true I'd be hearing about it and supporting it for end-users.

3. Well...
DSL is essentially dial up broad band. You can get some pretty good bandwidth (assuming you can pay for it) though not as good as cable it has the advantage of being dedicated to your use instead of being shared (though I hear some cable companies now offer something similar).
