5. I can't believe I'm first to vote for Ted. I LOVE Ted.

Did anyone else catch any of his bluster on the floor today? I heard it on the radio. He called ther refusal of Congress to increase the minimum wage in nine years, while increasing their own salaries $30,000 over the same period, "obscene".

Ted is awesome. My grandfather used to be President of the National Congress of American Indians when JFK was running for President and while he was in office. He met with JFK and RFK several times, and he also spent many years as an Indian Liaison in DC working with Congress etc. Well, when he died a few years ago, and there was supposed to be a ceremony set up to honor my grandfather, Ted had his secretary call my dad's house to find out when it was so he or Bobby Jr. could attend. It was during the summer of '04 and he wanted to take time out of campaigning for Kerry to come to a ceremony, it blew me away. His secretary told my dad that Teddy considers the Wetzels and Kennedys to be like family. He is a politician, so he may say that sort of thing about past friends and acquaintances all the time, but just the idea that he would go out and say something like that was pretty special. Ted is something else. :)

In all honesty, I am a hardcore RFK man. The guy is my hero, pure and simple. I still voted for Mr. Kennedy though. :)
