Wonderful Horrible TV show pilots: Superpup.

This came to my attention the other night as I watched an A&E(?) special on Superman, which was a thinly vieled promotional vehicle for the movie. Apparently after George Reeves committed suicide they had all the sets and bendy "steel" bars lying around, so they wanted to do something with it. Enter, Superpup.


Superpup, and His Clever Alter-ego Bark Bent.

So it basically involved a puppy-themed superman show wherein midgets would dress up in child-psyche-scarring dog outfits that would probably scare the shit out of Stephen King. The show would involve lots of daring-do and really bad dog-themed puns. Unfortunately, the pilot never aired.

What a shame.
