Due to the various vacation/out-of-office schedules of my boss and assistant editor, I will have no choice (other than waiting until next week -- NOT an option for my sanity) but to submit my resignation tomorrow and do the review later in the week.

So, tomorrow, I quit a perfectly good job. Wish me luck.

I'm at peace -- I'm leaving for a good reason (law school), and in good standing. And I've been keeping this quiet for months, although I'd be surprised if some of them haven't figured out something's up. I'm always better off mentally when things are out in the open.
