3. Ecuador 1-0 Costa Rica (Half-time)
Ecuador dominate possession and chances on goal, and are far the stronger team.

The pace of play is fast and it has been an enjoyable first half.

7. Ecuador 3-0 Costa Rica (Final score)
Edited on Thu Jun-15-06 09:55 AM by Anarcho-Socialist
An emphatic victory, in a match dominated by Ecuador. Costa Rica looked lethargic after going 2-0 down and couldn't quite recover.

Ecuador will be interesting opponents for Germany in the final group game which will decide who will qualify as group winners. Both Germany and Ecuador are through to the next round.

9. Yes, they have the goal difference advantage
So Germany need to win if they want to avoid England (if England top their group)
