snake! on the motherfucking driveway!
Ok, it was an eastern kingsnake. Handsome, at least two feet. Wish I'd had my camera.

6. Too bad you didn't get a picture

I adore snakes. I'd have gotten one for a pet if my mom wasn't so freaked out by them :(

9. I know.
I'm not a great fan of snakes, but I've got a good idea of what's poisonous and not, and I like rodents in my house even less. :)

10. A couple of years ago my husband damn near
stepped on a rattlesnake that had made its way into our garage. My daughter spotted it just in time.
Called animal control, but by the time they showed up, the snake had slithered away.

More recently a bear was spotted in the neighborhood. This in suburban So. California.

12. I used to have a 6 foot blacksnake that lived somewhere on my ..
.. little subacre. Beautiful thing. I'd come outside in the summer and find it sunning itself. So I tried to keep a few unmowed and untrimmed areas around the yard for it.

Then, I had my roof reshingled. The roofers proudly rang the doorbell and told me they'd killed it ...

13. Good thing my sister wasn't there, she'd total a car trying to run it over
When I was teaching her to drive on the gravel roads as a kid, she almost put my car in the ditch quite a few times. Her response every damn time was "I saw a snake on the side of the road and had to run it over."

To say she had a fear of snakes would be an understatement.

14. ROFLMAO!.....
...that is a riot, though I do sympathize with her. I've always had a fear of snakes. However, there are so many where I live, that now, I'm just glad if I know where they are when I step out of the door, so that it isn't a surprise if I see one.

Great story!
