I get a list of art and writing contests every month. This was one I thought some of the h.s. aged DUers might be interested in. Political courage is an intriguing subject.

HIGH SCHOOL ESSAY WRITING CONTEST The John F Kennedy
Profile in Courage Essay Contest will award $6500 to a US high school
student to write an original compelling essay in 1000 words or less on
the meaning of political courage, using a variety of sources. All
students must complete and submit a registration form online. For more
