Serious question....
Hyperthetical question:

If you had won an all expense paid vacation to Japan, with two Japanese friends, and you had the opportunity to visit the peace shrine in Hiroshima, where we dropped the first Atomic Bomb during World War II would you go?

(I plan to but my friend said it would be too much
of an emotional experience for them to see it.)

1. Yes, of course. That is a wonderful opportunity.
But I can't travel to new places without seeing the historical
sites. It may be too emotional for your friends, but you
should go.

4. Probably not- I don't like to travel. I would most likely...
...give my ticket to my sweetie. She loves going places,
and I don't think she's been to Japan.

5. The Horrors of Hiroshima....
Edited on Fri Jun-09-06 09:06 PM by scoey1953
When I was in High School the Book Hiroshima was required reading. I have mostly forgotten alot of the stories from the surviors, but just yesterday I downloaded the audio book...Ed Azner narrates..and all the horrors of that time come from the shadows again. I have to go there to Hiroshima, to see just what we did, be it for good or not. Perhaps a prayer that no one ever uses the bomb again..would also help.
