And if you are a clipper programmer...would you like a job?

ON EDIT: If you want this job, or know someone who is looking, PM me or post here.

1. It's a very old PC database management system
Way back in the DOS days. Along with DBase III, Paradox, and others, it did not survive the Microsoft Windows onslaught.

I think (not sure) Clipper was specifically designed to build application software with, as opposed to just ad-hoc tables and queries.

2. I have an old client in the Illionios area who needs a Clipper programer
but the person doesn't need to live in Illinios.

3. All I can think of is
look in google for "clipper user group", see if any are still active.

I think Clipper was taken over by Computer Associates, if that helps.

5. I used to be very big into Clipper
And I have a lot of contacts from the old days.

I can give you a couple of names in the Chicago area if you're interested.

4. Clipper was a compiled 'DBase'-like language
At least, it used a DBAse DB ... but was compiled not interpretive like DBase the language.
