I've not seen such icky nasty weather in a long time. It's cold. Rainy. Snowy. Slushy. Dirty.

:puke:

1. Just made it up here to central Maine...
Yuck...hopefully will melt some of these ENORMOUS piles of snow, but if it freezes overnite (which it's supposed to do)...it's gonna really suck...

7. Are you anywhere near Green Lake?
(Halfway between Bangor and Ellsworth). The wife, kids, and I spend a couple of weeks there every summer. I swear, it is one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

and its in the mid-50s. Gentle breeze from the NW just now.

10. Quite nice here in North Georgia. 40 degrees and sunny.
I'm not complaining about the weather. Rather have this than 90 degrees and sunny and hot.

It's bad enough that the city(Cambridge, too!)has done a MUCH WORSE job of plowing than they did during the big storm last Feb,what's with all the people who STILL haven't shoveled their &^%* sidewalks???

17. Oh the Irony of it all: Boston snowplowers that are union
Edited on Thu Dec-11-03 04:13 PM by Loonman
Before the snowstorm, there was a flap about the union snowplow drivers in Boston who were objecting to having GPS phones in their trucks for tracking purposes.

The union guys didn't want it, and Mayor Menino didn't want to screw around right before a snowstorm, so they put the tracking thing on hold for the time being.

Now.....if you live in or are a commuter to Boston, you must have noticed what a HALF-ASSED SHITTY JOB the snowplowers did.

So obviously the need for GPS tracking is now moot.

Those bastards get paid so damn much by the city's taxpayers and they can't even do their freakin' jobs!!!! Bastards!!!!!!!

18. The baja, I wanna move to the BAJA NOW!!!!!!
Don't give a hoot if'n there is no work there, I live like a hermit here in Boston right now...at least the Baja has that big burning orange thing everyone else in the country calls, the sun!!
Mark Twain said it best in New England they decorously hang poets with the temerity to write and then read aloud any odes to spring.

I can't survive another winter here..I just can't.
