Yes, at 3:57am, I just got back from the vet.
Ginsberg came home severely limping and bleeding. So he immediately went to the overnight, over-priced emergency vet clinic. Apparently, an old scratch on his leg turned into a massive, severe infection with no warning (like he was fine when I had seen him last around 9pm). The vet said it could have turned into a major thing, but I caught it in time. He got an antibiotics shot and he's resting up now. A couple weeks of antibiotics and he should be totally fine.

1. Congrats on saving Ginsberg's life!
I know it's expensive, but it's what we do for our
loved ones, right?

Get some rest and give Ginsberg a hug for me.

3. Good thing you caught it!
Those emergency clinics are very pricey! I went not too long ago b/c my little dog needed stitches! Cost me $300, and I got my other dog neutered the same week for $120! Go figure! It cost more for 2 stitches than a whole surgical procedure!! But thank God we have an emergency clinic! I have had to use it 2 times this year!

4. He's pretty much passed out next to me right now.
His leg looks nasty as hell, but they said it should clear up with the antibiotics. It could have been bad though. It sucks seeing your young, hyper cat so gimpy though.

I had a rough month with my babies! Neutered, stitches, ear infections! I think I am keeping the vet in business!

6. We neutered our rabbit on Monday.
Right now Ginsberg is laying on my bed eating a can of catfood. He's gonna be so spoiled.

7. Aww!! Do you a lot of rabbits?
I neutered my dog b/c he was being very aggressive all of a sudden! It took a while, but he has finally calmed down! (knock on wood)

10. Give them away. Possibly trade them at the local independent petshop.
Knowing me, I'll end up keeping one. The vet said she'd probably have 2-4 babies, since she's a relativcely small rabbit.

11. How many pets in total do you have?
Do the cat and rabbits get along?

12. The total would be a lot. :-)
Four cats (2 mine and 2 my mom's), two rabbits, three leopard geckos, two 3-legged bearded dragons, four tiny fish tanks and one 100g fish tank.

Ginsberg, aka the Gimp, would kill the rabbits, if given a chance. The other cats are totally indifferent. Midnight swatted at the one rabbit last night, but the rabbit ran straight into her while she was sleeping. It's not really an issue because the rabbits spend their days in their outside "playpen" and have a hutch in the garage for nighttime. I'll let them run around in my bedroom, but not with Ginsberg in the room.

8. Well, we have two, but it'll be more in a few days.
When we first got the rabbits (as babies) the vet said he was 100% sure one was female and 99% sure the other one was female (really, really tiny...a baby dwarf). Needless to say, the second rabbit was the 1%. So he got the female rabbit pregnant. She's going to have her babies probably withing 3 days or so. They're totally bonded so we got him neutered. We want them to be able to live together and not have baby bunnies all the time. Apparently, the female can get pregnant again, the same day as giving birth!
