1. He looks so young!
Sigh...I'm old enough to remember when I thought he looked old, back then!

Interesting tidbit about him- I heard him say in an interview that he couldn't write songs as well when he was happy- his best songwriting was after a break-up. I'm the same way...not that I can compare myself to Phil Collins, but I can identify with what he's saying.

2. Thanks for the link!
I miss the quality of music he used to make, both solo and with Genesis. He put on a heck of a good concert back in the day.

3. He had a bit of hair left there!
I love Genesis and Phil up until about '95 or so. Seems he lost a little edge after that.

This is a good song. Mama was one of my favorites with him on the vocals.

4. That whole album was amazing
Some of their best work I think. Sighs...I'm at work otherwise I would be digging that out to listen to now.

5. Duke was a good one, as well.
They just put out a lot of quality stuff. I enjoyed the songs that didn't get play on the radio, as well. The longer songs.

I was a little too young in Genesis' early days to get them. I started listening to them when Invisible Touch came out. Thankfully, in the early 90's I started to catch up on their body of work.

Thanks for posting.

6. Thanks for sharing!
I got into them in the late '80's with Invisible Touch as well. In fact I could have seen them on tour then, but I didn't think my parents would let me go only to find out later that they would have. GRRR. My first album of theirs was actually Seconds Out. I at least saw their last tour and had pretty good seats for it in Detroit. Almost close enough to have Phil sweat on me. Anyway glad to make the acquaintance of another fan.

7. "We Can't Dance" was a good album, as well.
I can't say they released one I didn't like. Genesis to Revelation was OK. I even thought the one they released after Phil left was decent.

Phil's solo stuff after Both Sides started to slow down a lot.

9. I tried very hard to like his work after Both Sides
But just couldn't. I'm not sure if that was him or me. *Shrugs*

I tried hard to like the Genesis post-Phil, but had a hard time with that as well. Think I liked one song.

BTW what the hell does Abacab mean?
