I got my federal tax refund.
$67. x( Sixty-seven fucking dollars. Not even three digits.

Oh, well, at least I'm getting a refund...and I don't owe more money.

1. Fuck that!
Let's talk about your income tax information, instead. It is important.

And while we are on the subject, what is your social security number, date of birth and full name.

This is meaningful.

6. Ah
Does your campus bookstore enable you to sell textbooks back for money? I got quite a bunch of cash for turning in my text books. It was great because I was able to buy 50 dollars worth of DVDs with it and sitll have money.

9. Well, yes,
but for eight books they gave me $19! x( It's more profitable to sell your books directly to other students. Both of you make out better on the deal.

11. At least you got some money.
I was due a refund but instead the federal government gave my entire $531 to the student loan people.

12. CarolinaPeridot please if you care to
give more info on this, are you still in school and they did this since you get financial aid or are you out of school and they did this to make sure your student loan is paid for. I just returned to college after a 5 year absence this last semester and I hope I'm not finding out the feds take your refund if you are due a return if you receive financial aid.

16. I owed $700.
You know what? That's $700 that I had the use of all year, instead of the government.

It's better financially to owe a small amount (not necessarily $700 -- that was a result of underwithholding due to my change in marital status) than to get a refund. A refund just means the U.S. got an interest-free loan from you.
