THE TUBES are talking about doing some big REUNION shows!!!
Apparently, Fee Waybill announced it this morning on Greg Kihn's radio show. It seems all the original members (and the original choreographer) of The Tubes had a band meeting last week, and are now planning to do some big-scale theatrical productions like they used to do. No word yet on when, where or how many. I'm so excited I could crap my pants.

1. They were my first concert.
I doubt I'll go see a reunion show -- they were already starting to get a bit long in the tooth when I saw 'em 22 years ago -- but it's very cool that they may do one.

2. Well, those shows were pale imitations of the heyday...
...which I believe is what they're planning to bring back. Of course, two years after you saw them, they released "Love Bomb", an album that was years ahead of its time.

3. Maybe I've got my dates wrong, then.
I saw them on the Love Bomb tour. With Rundgren's Utopia opening.

4. Yep. Actually, I think that was 1985. I have several shows from that tour.
Where did you see them?

12. They played at my college back in 1982. Tickets were 3 dollars.
One of the best times I have ever had at a show.

The Tubes rock! :headbang:

14. I saw them several times in Arizona in the 70's
They were always entertaining. Especially so when I was El Essdeed.

"The smell of burning leather
as we hold each other tight
As our rivets rub together
flashing sparks into the night
At this moment of surrender darling
if you really care
Don't touch me there"

White Punks on Dope was always fun, too.
