Owner goes to court to save attack cat.
FAIRFIELD, Connecticut (AP) -- Janet Kettman says she and her neighbors on Sunset Circle are always looking over their shoulders in fear the stalker will strike again.

"He attacks from the back," Kettman said Monday. "You never see it coming. He has six toes on every foot, which constitutes a very formidable weapon."

Oh for fucks sake, I agree with the owner, these idiots need to get a life. Have the damn cat declawed and keep it inside. :eyes:

1. Yeah, cut off the tips of the cat's fingers basically.
Declawing is extremely cruel, banned in most civilized countries, and can result in behavior problems.

4. Softpaws.
Nail caps for cats. Honestly, I think this whole this is blown out of proportion. It's a fucking cat. Small dogs attack people all the time and they don't become national news.

5. On that I agree totally which I thought was clear in my post.
I can't believe these morons are so spooled over a cat. It's laughable. However, these neighbors seem serious if they're going into litigation and if it came down to it I'd declaw my cat over killing it anyday.

6. The cat bites as well. Cat bites can become dangerously infected.
The owner needs to keep that animal in the house at all times.

This is pure negligence on her part.

9. Fluffy the ripper!
I'm a tiny lion, grrrr.

Maybe I would feel differently if it was a pit bull or something, but kitties are too cute to think of them as vicious killing machines.

Coming up next on Fox, When Bunnies Attack!

13. Bunny bites hurt! Actually, so do bearded dragons.
It wasn't her fault though. I was feeding her a treat by hand and not paying attention. She finished the treat and thought my finger was a continuation of it. I screamed and pulled my hand away. It never did it again.

The bearded dragons bite me all the fucking time and they almost always draw blood. Once again, it's related to feeding. They're such voracious bastards that I get bit putting food in the cage all the time. If I don't have food, then they're pretty nice.

Horses hurt like hell. I'm not a fan of horses anyway.

Geckos don't hurt, unless it's a tokay. The tokay drew blood.

German Shepherds hurt. Lhasa Apsos hurt too. God I hated that Lhasa.

Ball pythons hurt. Garter snakes don't hurt.

Parakeets can draw blood. Larger parrots draw even more blood.

Wow...I've been bitten by a lot of animals.

10. The owner may face jail if she doesn't kill the cat.
Ruth Cisero, the cat's owner, recently withdrew her bid for special probation and opted for trial because she would have had to allow Lewis to be euthanized.

Eugene Riccio, attorney for Cisero and Lewis, said "We're trying to negotiate a fair resolution of the case which will include Lewis' life being spared from the executioner." ....

The special probation offer with conditions was made at the insistence of one woman that Lewis attacked on February 20. In a letter to prosecutors, she said she would only agree to probation for Cisero if the cat were put to death.

The cat should be kept inside--he sounds like a smart & dangerous fellow! And fitted with Softpaws in case of an escape. (Perhaps the vet can do it--after administering anesthesia.)

15. Nope!
Just an anonymous internet cat.

I inherited 2 kitties already declawed in the front. So they've been happy indoor kitties for many years now.

I do NOT advocate declawing, but any future cats will live indoors. If Softpaws were needed, I would pick a color that suited the coloring.

12. Friends had an attack cat, clawed the crap out of kids couple times
Kids would pet cat, cat attacked and severly clawed the kids. I know I know, teach kids to not pet cats, but they ended up keeping it locked up because inside because it wasn't safe to be around kids. Attacked a deer once also.

16. I read about poor Lewis
a while back. That neighbor is a bitch, and Lewis knows it. You notice that the only ones Lewis attacks are assholes. Smart cat!

I believe in keeping Lewis inside, or letting him have access to some sort of cage outside. I agree with the assessment that these neighbors should get a life. They're really NOT nice people if they would send a cat to the electric chair (embellishment on purpose!) for a scratch or even a bite. Those of us with cats know that scratches are a way of life, and many of us have the scars to prove it. (I currently have one on the back of my right index finger and it is very sore!) But then again, the world is filled with fucking hypocrites and they should learn to mind their own fucking business.

I think Lewis has a very protective streak in him, and that is to his owner's benefit. There's a joke about cats and burglars....cats will normally allow a burglar to rob a house, unlike a dog, but it appears Lewis got that special gene, too. If the neighbors get their way, I would hope that the owner gets the fuck out of that town, because they will continue to harass her anyhow, regardless of Lewis or not.
