What's on your grocery list?
Do you keep a list on your fridge that you update, or do you make up a list before each shopping trip?

Or do you shop without a list?

Do you stick to the list, if you use one?

Do you remember never to go to the grocery store hungry.

Do you bring your own reusable bags to the store so you never have to choose between paper and plastic?

Need anything at the store?

We need:

dish soap
paper towels
granola bars
rye bread
ramen noodles
pears
potatoes
butter
soy milk
fruit popsicles
whole chicken

:)

4. We keep a running list
There are some items that are always on the list -

Bananas
Bread
Milk
Yogurt

Then there are the things that we keep on the list but only buy when on sale (mostly non perishables that we stock up on) -

Stewed tomatoes
Tea
Rice
Cat food
Flour

Today was shopping day and we needed things like -

Artichokes (my favorite veggie)
Granola bars
Tequila

5. I am not that organized
Unless I'm bringing a list for a specific recipe I never follow it.

On Friday or Saturday I go into Boston and get whatever fruits and vegetables I'm craving and are on sale. Then on Saturday or Sunday I go buy everything else I need based on what I've already bought, what's on sale, and of course what I'm craving. Today I got some saffron that looks and smells great but was dirt cheap so now I get to look at all the food I have and figure out how to use it.

6. If I go to the store on a full stomach, I get nauseous...
...and don't buy anything. Our usual grocery list on Sat or Sun consists of the following:

Pizza Crusts
Mozzarella cheese
Ice Cream of some kind
Digorno pepperoni pizza
milk

Then when we run out we get:
A large bag of Chicken Breasts (Boneless and Skinless)
Pillsbury cheddar garlic biscuits (Are better than the cheddar bay biscuits from red lobster, I shit you not)
cereal
ground beef
bag of salad
Cheddar cheese
And the usual stuff like soda and laundry soap and toiletries.

We don't vary a lot of our eating habits, but something is going right cause I'm still losing weight. :)
Duckie

7. I won't need to grocery shop for several days.
After I've planned the meals and made a list around that plan, I'll be happy to share both! :)

14. I always carry a list. If I only need three things, I'll forget one,
without one, LOL! :D

And I pretty much stick to the list, unless something catches my eye or I happen to think of something else. And my list is ongoing, since I need the same things so often. Today I was accused of being like Bob Graham...:D

And I've gone to the story hungry, and was sorry, so I'm guilty of that.

And I save way too many grocery bags.:-(

I just went yesterday, so don't need a lot.:-)

I need:
aluminum foil
black olives
fresh corn, if I can find it
scallions
A tomato, I think
Maybe orange juice:shrug:
