10 year missing cat returns home
quote....
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Sneakers the cat is going home -- a decade after he disappeared.

The long-haired black cat turned up at a Sacramento, Calif., animal shelter last week.

The feline was routinely scanned for a microchip ID and traced to Allison MacEwan of Seattle. She has no idea how Sneakers ended up hundreds of miles away.

MacEwan said in 1996, she placed newspaper ads and went door-to-door with fliers looking for her cat. MacEwan's daughter can't wait to be reunited with Sneakers. The girl was just four when her pet seemingly vanished a decade ago.

1. Woah, I was impressed with my cat's two week adventure.
It was in a blizzard though and the vet confirmed she didn't eat the whole time. Other than that, she was fine. No injuries, healthy, just underweight (lost 2 lbs). She hasn't wanted to go out in the snow since then.

3. The question is was the cat
on the streets for 10 years? It ended up at a sheltor,so I assume so. Not all chips work with all scanners, so the guardian was lucky. Wonder if the cat will remember his guardian?

4. It could just be a wandering type cat.
It picked new owners, wandered off from them and ended up at a shelter.

2. Sheesh! Those people can't take a hint?
The cat's been evading them for ten years!
