14. His poem, "The Congo," was my favorite poem when I was a kid.

I pretty much memorized the entire thing, which is practically an epic, LOL! What attracted me to it was not the subject, but the incredible rhythms and the very evocative words, which paint wonderfully colorful pictures. You'll enjoy it.:-)
